What is Therapeutic Riding?
According to Path International, "therapeutic riding is an equine-assisted activity for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of individuals with special needs. Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of health, education, sport and recreation & leisure."
Our instructors are Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) and/or Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship international (PATH Intl.) certified with a strong background and understanding in working with individuals of diverse abilities.
Along side dedicated (and may we add incredible) volunteers Freedom Equine offers meaningful lessons with the highest level of safety.
This incredible program provides an increase in confidence, independence and social/ emotional regulation.

Our Therapeutic Riding program is designed with care for;​

Those with a variety of diverse abilities and diagnoses including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury, Anxiety, Depression, Down Syndrome.

New to riding?
We offer a learn to ride program for anyone interested in diving into the amazing world of horse back riding. This program is open to any and everyone. The learn to ride program includes horse care, horsemanship and ground work, understanding horse behaviour as well as lots of time in the saddle!
